Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) – Work Refusal Training Online Program If an employee has concerns about the safety of their work environment or the safety of a specific task or activity, they should report their concerns to their supervisor or employer. The employer has a duty to investigate the employee’s concerns and take action to address any safety hazards. If the employer is unable or unwilling to resolve the safety issue, the employee has the right to refuse work. The employee should inform their employer of the refusal and the reason for it, and the employer should investigate the issue and take appropriate action to resolve it.
